Linocut Prints & InDesign

Yesterday's morning session involved creating linocut prints. As I had done this printing technique before, I was excited for this workshop. The process involves carving into lino with specialist tools, then covering the lino in ink & printing with it.

It was challenging to think in reverse, as what's carved away appears white on print and what remains is coloured. I felt that my prints made in this workshop turned out a lot better than my A-level attempts!

The afternoon workshop was an InDesign tutorial.

InDesign is a program that is used for arranging images & text to create a PDF file. It will be useful for end-of-semester portfolio submission, but also for book making in the future.
