This week's workshop was run online. It involved experimenting with objects found at home (erasers, sponges, pen lids etc) by using them as simple stamps. I experimented with various stamps and black acrylic paint to create a page of markmaking. It took some trial-and-error, but I created an interesting page.
I discovered that erasers are surprisingly versatile stamps - you can create lines with the edges, carve into them or change their shape.
Afterwards, I created a more resolved outcome in colour.
I used rubbers for the brick work, doors, and windows; pen lids for the snowflakes; sponge for the chimney smoke and windows; and string wrapped around cardboard for the fence.
